stumble to the shower

damn the heater for slowness

curse mornings

water streaming down

steam poofing up

close eyes - pretend it is earlier or the weekend

Turn off water

Shiver

look at face - bleary, eyes still half shut

brush teeth shivering, teeth chattering

Rub eyes

Stumble back to bedroom

sit on bed

throw covers over head

pretend it is earlier or the weekend

look at alarm clock

LATE! LATE! LATE!

jump out of bed

thrown on cloths

brush hair

makeup - where's the make up?

stumble down stairs attempting to put on shoe

too late for coffee

where are the damn keys!

start car - music blares, cold air fans

throw up hands in disgust

turn car off, take jacket off

climb back upstairs

call work - cough cough sick

get into bed

pull covers over head

fall asleep cursing mornings
